Law Day Scholarship

The Law Day Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors in recognition of their writing and understanding of the principles celebrated through Law Day. Law Day is observed annually on May 1 and provides an opportunity to reflect on the role of law in our society. Applicants will be asked to submit a 1,000–1,500 word essay based on this year’s Law Day theme, which will be announced at a later date. Two scholarship recipients will be selected, with each winner receiving a $1,000 scholarship.

1st Place - Malyada Medikundam (Illinois Math and Science Academy) - $500 Award: Read 1st Place Junior Essay

2nd Place - Santiago Garcia (Marmion Academy) - $250 Award: Read 2nd Place Junior Essay

3rd Place - Anya Amin (St. Charles East High School)- $250 Award: Read 3rd Place Junior Essay

2026 Sophomore Award

1st Place - Izzy Pasternak (Rosary College Prep) - $500 Award: Read 1st Place Sophomore Essay
